Jamaica is one of the larger islands in the Caribbean Sea, situated south of Cuba and west of Haiti. Originally a Spanish possession, under British rule in 1655 and achieved independence in 1962

Major sectors include agriculture, mining, manufacturing, tourism, and financial services. Half of the Jamaican economy relies on services such as tourism.

Kingston, in the south east of the island, is the capital. From hiking in the Blue Mountains, scuba diving amongst the coral reefs, sampling the nightlife, shopping or simply relaxing on those great beaches, you’ll find plenty to see and do on the island.
